According to information, in 2027 Apple plans a significant update to the design of the iPhone, timed to the company’s 20th anniversary. Earlier leaks suggested a possible transition to an almost entirely glass body with curved lines, a notch-less display, and the use of silicon batteries with increased energy capacity.

New details were disclosed by Chinese insider Instant Digital. He claims that the anniversary model will receive solid-state buttons instead of traditional mechanical ones. Haptic feedback will be provided through the Taptic Engine, similar to how it's implemented in the home button of the iPhone 7, iPhone 8, and iPhone SE.

Possible changes will affect all control elements: power button, volume controls, action button, and camera control keys. The insider notes that the technology has already undergone functional testing and is being considered for implementation in iPhone 20 in 2027.
