Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky reported that negotiations regarding the "peace plan" in Geneva will continue almost until late at night. According to him, the Ukrainian delegation has already held several meetings with representatives of the U.S. and European partners.

Zelensky noted that based on the results of the negotiations, the American side may consider critically important positions for Ukraine in a new version of the peace plan. He emphasized that the teams are working on the steps necessary to end the war.

Progress of Negotiations and Comments

According to U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio, significant progress has been made as a result of the negotiations. "These were the most productive and important meetings since we intervened in this process," Rubio emphasized. He also reported that certain changes will be made to the "peace proposals," developed based on the rearrangements of all parties involved in the process.

Rubio added that the delegations are currently working on new proposals to reduce discrepancies and find an acceptable solution for both Ukraine and the U.S.

Context of Peace Efforts

It should be noted that according to the Ukrainian team in the negotiations, the U.S. "peace plan" contains 28 points that involve limiting the number of Ukrainian Armed Forces and initiating dialogue from the line of confrontation. As noted by the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine, Rustem Umerov, the current version of the document reflects most of the key Ukrainian priorities.

It is expected that the outcomes of the negotiations will be disclosed based on the results of the preliminary meetings and reports of the Ukrainian delegation.
