As of the morning of February 7, a large-scale power outage has occurred in Ternopil Oblast. Due to severe icing on the power lines, 65 settlements are without electricity.
According to the Ternopil Regional State Administration (OVA), 27 power lines with a voltage of 10 kV have been damaged. Of these, 16 lines have experienced partial outages. Electricity supply is restricted for 8,450 consumers, and the volume of unprovided power reaches 4.8 MW.
Emergency energy crews are working in an intensified mode to restore electricity supply as quickly as possible. The situation remains complicated, as according to the company "Ukrenergo," following recent Russian attacks, the electricity generation system does not meet consumers' needs. As a result, dispatchers are forced to take measures to balance the system.
It is worth noting that yesterday, February 6, "Ukrenergo" warned of the possibility of implementing round-the-clock electricity outage schedules due to a power deficit across all regions of Ukraine.
The Ternopil OVA urges residents to regularly check precise electricity outage schedules on the official resources of the regional energy company.
