Today, February 7, Ukraine faces the consequences of massive attacks from Russia on energy facilities again. As a result of these attacks, emergency power outages have been introduced in most regions of the country. Official representatives of NEC "Ukrenergo" reported that hourly outage schedules are no longer in effect, and the population has been urged to follow the information on the official websites of regional energy suppliers.
The attacks occurred not only in Kyiv but also in other regions, including Dnipropetrovsk and Odesa. In the capital, where emergency shutdowns are currently ongoing, more electricity is observed only in the Dnipro and Darnița districts. Previously published outage schedules were not implemented due to severe damage inflicted on the energy system.
According to reports, Russian troops used various types of weapons, including drones and cruise missiles, which resulted in damage to thermal generation facilities that supply the population with electricity and heating. Restoration mechanisms are working, but their implementation requires time and depends on stabilizing the situation.
Specialists continue to work at damaged facilities, but there is currently no accurate information regarding the completion timelines for restoration. "Ukrenergo" and local energy companies strongly urge the population to consume electricity sparingly during the times it is available.
The situation remains extremely tense, and citizens must be prepared for possible new outages. It is important to stay informed about important news and recommendations from official sources.
