Today, February 7, Russia launched a massive missile and drone attack on Ukraine. According to the Ukrainian Air Force, the aggressor fired several hundred attack drones of the "Shahed" type and cruise missiles of the "Kalibr" type. Authorized military dispatchers indicate that among the attacking aircraft were strategic bombers Tu-95MS.

Details of the attack

This activation of hostile forces is observed in connection with the takeoff of strategic bombers from airfields in Russia, particularly from the "Olenya" airfield. It is known that there are up to four Tu-95MS bombers and three Tu-22M3 aircraft in the sky. Forecasts suggest that missile launches from these aircraft may occur in the near future, particularly in the morning.

Response from Ukraine

In light of this development, Ukrainian military and civilian services are taking all necessary measures to ensure the safety of the population. Near Mykolaiv, the penetration of sea-based cruise missiles has already been recorded, causing alarm among local residents.

Forecasts and consequences

Official sources urge citizens to remain cautious, follow instructions, and stay in shelters during air raid alerts. Military experts predict further attacks from Russia, which may escalate tensions in the region.

The situation remains under control for now; however, the complexity of operations by the Russian armed forces requires vigilance and readiness from Ukrainian defenders.
