On the night of January 25, Chernivtsi and Chernivtsi region were subjected to a massive attack by Russian drones. This was reported by the head of the Chernivtsi Regional Military Administration, Ruslan Osypenko.
Attack Details
The air raid lasted over an hour - from 23:06 to 00:25. Enemy drones entered the Bukovyna territory from various directions, paying special attention to the areas of Zastavna, Kitsman, and Chernivtsi directly.
Air Defense Actions
Air defense forces actively worked over the city. According to the Air Force, attempts were made to destroy enemy drones. In total, the enemy attacked with 102 drones, of which 87 drones were suppressed or destroyed.
Official Statements
Ruslan Osypenko consistently informed about the movement of enemy drones: at 23:33 he warned about the movement of UAVs towards Chernivtsi, particularly in the Sadgora area, and at 00:15 reported another enemy target near the city.
As of 00:26, the air raid alert was lifted. Local authorities managed to avoid significant destruction and human casualties.
