The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, signed a decree appointing Taras Pastukh as the head of the Ternopil Regional State Administration. The corresponding document was published on the official website of the Head of State on January 12, 2026.
Prior to this appointment, Taras Pastukh held the position of deputy head of the Ternopil Regional Military Administration. He was responsible for veteran policy, defense work, civil protection, housing and communal services, and other important areas.
Biographical Data
A native of Ternopil, Pastukh has a higher education in computer technologies and law. In 2014, he voluntarily joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine and participated in combat operations as part of the 128th Mountain Assault Brigade.
Political Activity
Previously, Taras Pastukh worked as a People's Deputy of the eighth convocation, representing the 163rd election district. With the start of the full-scale Russian invasion, he again joined the ranks of Ukraine's defenders.
Additionally, the President appointed Roman Romanyuk as the acting head of the Volyn Regional State Administration, dismissing the previous leader Ivan Rudnytskyi, who was appointed as a deputy head of the SBU.
