The UK Ministry of Defense confirmed the transfer of two prototypes of Gravehawk anti-aircraft missile systems to Ukraine, designed to enhance the country's defensive capabilities in countering Russian aggression.
Technical Characteristics of the Complex
Gravehawk is a joint British-Danish short-range air defense system, developed specifically to protect critical infrastructure from drones, helicopters, and potentially cruise missiles.
The system's uniqueness lies in its use of existing R-73 (AA-11 Archer) missiles, which simplifies logistics and accelerates deployment on the battlefield.
Complex Features
- Launch unit placed in a standard ISO container
- Ensures covert transportation
- Quick deployment in required areas
- Optical system uses passive infrared radiation
Minister for Veterans El Carns reported that Ukraine is set to receive a total of 15 such Gravehawk systems.
