Lenovo has announced the launch of sales for the new generation of gaming laptops in Ukraine — Lenovo Legion 9. This flagship model, Lenovo Legion 9 18IAX10, is designed for professional gaming, game development, 3D graphics, visual effects, and working with AI workloads. The price of the laptop on the Ukrainian market starts at 215,999 UAH.

Unlike many other gaming devices, the Legion 9 is perceived not only as an entertainment gadget but as a mobile alternative to a powerful desktop computer or workstation.

Performance for complex tasks

The Lenovo Legion 9 is aimed at users who work with resource-intensive graphics scenes, rendering, AI models, and multitasking projects. At the core of the system is the Intel Core Ultra 9 275HX processor with 24 cores and a maximum clock frequency of up to 5.4 GHz.

A key feature of the platform is the integrated AI Boost neural processor with performance up to 13 TOPS. It optimizes the processing of tasks related to artificial intelligence by regulating the distribution of resources between rendering, AI computations, and classical multitasking. In fact, the system determines which processes to direct computational power towards at any given moment.

The laptop has four DDR5 slots, allowing for RAM expansion up to 192 GB, a figure that is quite rare even among mobile workstations. For data storage, a 2 TB M.2 SSD is offered, providing high read and write speeds that are critically important for large projects and complex production pipelines.

Graphics without compromise

The graphics component features the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5090 with 24 GB of GDDR7 video memory — one of the most modern mobile graphics cards of the Blackwell generation. It is intended not only for the latest games but also for professional use cases: 3D modeling, rendering, working with Unreal Engine, Blender, Houdini, and AI tools.

The graphics card supports full ray tracing and DLSS 4 technology, which uses artificial intelligence algorithms to boost performance without sacrificing image quality. This allows for realistic rendering and complex scenes without noticeable delays.

Display for gaming and professional activities

The Lenovo Legion 9 is equipped with an 18-inch WQUXGA (3840×2400) IPS display with HDR 400 support and Low Blue Light certification. The Lenovo PureSight screen is positioned as a tool for AAA game developers, VFX artists, and 3D graphics specialists.

Thanks to the integration of Lenovo 3D Studio, the device provides high-quality visualization of 2D and 3D content with support for depth and parallax effects in real-time. The useful screen area is 93.1%, and the optional 3D Display technology allows viewing three-dimensional images without the need for special glasses.

Cooling system for stable loads

To ensure reliable operation of powerful components, Lenovo has implemented the Legion Coldfront cooling system: Vapor with a vapor chamber. It is designed for prolonged peak loads without noticeable throttling of performance.

The laptop's body is made of a combination of forged carbon and aluminum, which not only improves heat dissipation but also emphasizes the premium status of the device.

An alternative to a desktop PC

Considering the specifications — processor, graphics, memory capacity, and cooling system — the Lenovo Legion 9 comes closest to the level of a full desktop. That is why it is considered as an alternative to a powerful desktop PC for users who prioritize maximum performance in a laptop format without a strict attachment to a workspace.
