Minister of Digital Transformation Mikhail Fedorov announced the launch of a pilot 5G network project in three Ukrainian cities: Lviv, Kharkiv, and Borodyanka. This was reported by government sources.

According to Fedorov, the fifth-generation network launch will take place in the coming weeks. A key feature of the project will be preliminary technical preparation, including coordinating frequencies with military personnel to avoid interference.

Features of 5G Launch

Experts from the Ministry of Digital Transformation carefully tested the technology together with military experts, taking into account the specifics of wartime. Initially, the network will be launched in specific parts of the cities, with further scaling planned.

Stanislav Prybytko, Deputy Minister of Digital Transformation, emphasized that after Lviv, Borodyanka, and Kharkiv, the network is planned to be expanded to Kyiv and Odesa.
