On the night of December 26, Russian occupation forces launched sea-based cruise missiles of the "Kalibr" type from the Black Sea waters against Ukrainian territory. This was reported by the Air Force Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, which called on citizens not to ignore air raid signals.

The attack began late in the evening of December 25. The Air Force of Ukraine recorded launches of "Kalibr" cruise missiles and warned of a serious threat from the Black Sea waters.

Which regions came under threat

At 0:16, the Air Force reported missile danger in regions where alerts were declared. Air raid sirens sounded in:

  • Odesa region
  • Mykolaiv region
  • Kherson region

In addition to the missile threat, the military recorded several groups of enemy strike drones in the Black Sea waters moving toward Tatarbunary in the Odesa region.

Additional threats from the sea

In the south of Odesa region, a group of UAVs was also detected flying toward Katlabuh, Izmail, and Reni. This created additional threats to the border districts of the region.

It should be noted that on the evening of December 25, on Christmas, Russian forces also struck a critical infrastructure facility in Volyn region.

The Air Force of Ukraine continues to monitor the situation and calls on the population to take air raid signals seriously and immediately take shelter when they are announced.
