This week in the 15th episode of the culinary show “MasterChef 16” on the STB channel, the participants faced a challenging task, where not only culinary skills but also strategic thinking came to the forefront. The judges announced that the participants needed to not only cook but also anticipate their opponents' moves.
Team Competitions and Psychological Endurance
The first challenge took place in a team format between the blue and red teams. Each team had to create one main dish using 15 ingredients, some of which they selected for themselves while the others were given to their opponents. An important aspect of this competition was the ability to make strategic choices, which determined the winner—the blue team, where the chef's knife was awarded to Darya.
However, not all participants managed to meet the challenge. The black aprons were given to Halyna Oruzheva and Eva, which meant that they had to showcase their skills in the next battle.
Support from Loved Ones and Battling Nerves
The second challenge became even more emotional as the loved ones of the participants were invited to the kitchen. The task was to prepare dishes that held special significance in their families. However, the stressful conditions required participants not only to exhibit culinary mastery but also to manage their emotions. The judges provided participants with fitness bracelets to monitor their heart rates—if the heart rate exceeded the norm, the participant had to go to the "anti-stress room."
Avoiding Elimination and Results
As a result of the Battle of the Blacks, participant Haryk Nosach left the show, forced to exit the project a week after tears and tense moments. Haryk, a 35-year-old from Tartu, Estonia, decided to change his life by pursuing a career in cooking after a promising trip to Japan.
Halyna Oruzheva from Rivne Oblast, who is gradually becoming one of the favorites of the season, continues to demonstrate a high level of culinary intelligence despite personal challenges.
Throughout the episode, the participants showed that in cooking, it is necessary not only to have the ability to cook but also to think ahead and make risky decisions.
