This week, the Kobelyaky community celebrated Local Self-Government Day — a professional holiday for those who are dedicated to working for the benefit of the community and its residents. During the festivities, certificates were presented to the best local government workers, among whom were distinguished veterans of service, deputies, active residents of the community, village heads, and employees of structural divisions.
These individuals work daily on solving many issues, providing quality services and stable operation of institutions. In their hands lies the responsibility for the development of the community and the improvement of the lives of its residents. As was noted during the celebrations, local self-government is not just about making decisions; it is the result of diligent daily work that often goes unnoticed by citizens.
"Local self-government is the foundation of our independence and stability. It is a team of professionals who ensure successful development at the local level," emphasized one of the speakers at the event. "The results of our efforts are visible in the improvement of public amenities, infrastructure development, and service quality," noted one of the winners who received an award.
The awards ceremony took place not only in Kobelyaky: similar events are held in other communities of the region. In Nikopol, for example, the head of the Nikopol RDA created a Telegram channel, following modern trends in information policy and communication with the community.
Although Local Self-Government Day is a holiday dedicated to the work of government bodies, it is also an opportunity to recognize the importance of cooperation between the authorities and the community, which ensures truly tangible changes in people’s lives.
