On the night of November 29, Kyiv was subjected to a massive attack by Russian military forces. According to the head of the Kyiv City Military Administration (KMVA), Timur Tkachenkо, the shelling resulted in damage to multi-storey residential buildings in several areas of the capital.
In particular, the Mayor of Kyiv, Vitali Klitschko, reported that at least four people were injured, including a child. Medics were called to the Solomianskyi, Shevchenkivskyi, and Darnytskyi districts of the city, where the most serious explosions occurred.
After 1:00 AM, explosions began, which, according to preliminary information, may be the result of ballistic missile launches from Bryansk. Numerous enemy drone strikes were noted in various parts of Kyiv.
Consequences of the Attack
According to preliminary data, a child was injured in the Shevchenkivskyi district. In the Solomianskyi district, debris fell on the roof of a 25-storey residential building, causing a fire on several floors. Cars parked in courtyards were also damaged as a result of the attack.
Klitschko noted that in the Sviatoshynskyi district, debris hit the entrance of a three-storey building, which also led to a fire. Many residents of the capital received calls for medical assistance, highlighting the seriousness of the incident.
Calls for Safety
The authorities urge residents of the capital to remain in shelters until the alert is lifted. Information regarding the extent of the damage is still being clarified. Officials continue to monitor the situation and provide assistance to those affected.
This incident serves as yet another confirmation of Russia's ongoing aggression against Ukraine and emphasizes the need for close attention to the safety of the residents of the capital.
