Today, December 18, 2025, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported further losses of Russian occupation forces on Ukrainian territory. Over the past day, Ukrainian military eliminated 950 occupiers, also destroying part of their equipment and weaponry.
Total losses of Russian forces from the beginning of the full-scale invasion on February 24, 2022, to December 18, 2025, are approximately 1,193,300 military personnel. Additionally, over the last day, 5 tanks, 27 artillery systems, 2 multiple-launch rocket systems (MLRS), one air defense system, and 330 operational-tactical level unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) were destroyed.
Overall losses of enemy equipment since the beginning of the invasion include: 11,432 tanks, 23,758 armored fighting vehicles, 35,232 artillery systems, 1,573 MLRS, 1,263 air defense systems, 432 aircraft, 347 helicopters, 91,716 UAVs, 4,073 cruise missiles, 28 ships/boats, 2 submarines, and 70,480 motor vehicles and fuel tanks.
Despite significant losses, the Russian army does not lose hope for offensive actions. Commander of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrsky noted that the adversary's group in Ukraine has increased to 710,000 people. This indicates Russia's plans to continue strategic offensive operations, despite the lack of significant operational success.
