In Kaniv, at a regular meeting of the Executive Committee of the Kaniv City Council on December 30, 2025, three local defenders who gave the highest sacrifice – their lives – for Ukraine's independence were posthumously recognized.
Honoring the Heroes
During the meeting, local authorities made a decision to recognize the fallen soldiers who demonstrated courage and heroism in the fight for the territorial integrity of the state.
The award ceremony was another testament to the deep respect and gratitude of the local community towards the military personnel who defended Ukraine at the cost of their own lives.
