Sharp Weather Changes Expected in the Coming Days

Meteorologists from the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center have warned about a sharp cold snap and challenging weather conditions that will cover most of Ukraine's territory in the coming days.

According to meteorologist Natalia Ptukha, an active cyclone will sweep across the country from the southwest on January 8-9. Expected conditions include:

  • Snowstorms in western and northern regions
  • Snow cover increase up to 15-20 cm
  • Wind gusts of 15-20 m/s

Temperature Indicators

On January 10-11, Arctic air will enter Ukraine with a sharp temperature drop:

  • In western and northern regions, temperatures will fall to -14-20°
  • Some areas will experience cooling down to -23°
  • In Kirovohrad and Poltava regions, temperatures will range from -6 to -12°
  • In the southeastern regions, temperatures will fluctuate from -4° to +4°

Meteorologists emphasize significant temperature contrasts across Ukraine's entire territory.
