On the night of November 27 to 28, 2025, details emerged regarding the detention of former Kyiv Dynamo and national team player Denis Harmash. Employees of the Military Registration and Enlistment Center of the Pechersk district of Kyiv detained the 35-year-old player for data clarification.

After being taken to the territorial recruitment center, Harmash was offered the opportunity to leave the center for a financial reward of 25 thousand dollars. However, according to the source, the footballer refused such an offer.

According to information from the Kyiv City Territorial Recruitment Center, the detention indeed occurred for data clarification, but information regarding extortion and the use of force in this case has been denied. The agency noted that Harmash had no reservations or deferments from conscription. After undergoing the military medical commission and speaking with recruiters, the footballer decided to serve in one of the units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
