This morning, amid a massive missile-drone attack by Russia, emergency power outages were implemented in Kyiv and several regions of Ukraine. This information was provided by the National Energy Company 'Ukrenergo' and 'DTEK', which initiated emergency measures to cut power in order to maintain the stability of the country's energy system.

Specifically, emergency outages have been introduced in Kyiv, Kyiv, Kirovohrad, Sumy, Dnipropetrovsk, Zhytomyr, Cherkasy, and Chernihiv regions. As a result, 'DTEK' and the regional power companies of the affected areas indicated that hourly outage schedules do not apply during the emergency. If the situation permits, restoration work will commence as soon as it is safe.

Comments from Regional Power Company Representatives

Representatives of regional energy companies are urging citizens to understand the situation. 'Zhytomyroblenergo' reported: 'We have received an order from NEC "Ukrenergo" to implement emergency power outages. We ask for understanding regarding the measures taken to preserve Ukraine’s energy system.'

Similar outages, ordered by 'Ukrenergo', were conducted in Dnipropetrovsk, Poltava, Chernihiv, Cherkasy, Sumy, and Kirovohrad regions. 'This is a forced measure, and we will promptly inform about changes through our Telegram channel,' emphasized 'DTEK'.

Emergency Measures and Safety

Due to the emergency, citizens are advised to use energy sparingly where available and to follow local authority updates on the situation. Authorities remind that safety is a priority, especially when Russian attacks threaten the stability of the Ukrainian power grid.

In addition, additional capacities are planned to be imported to support the energy system from international partners, which will help reduce load and stabilize the situation.

It is important that with the implementation of emergency outages, citizens are advised to monitor official information sources for updates on outage schedules.
