Today, December 23, the residents of Ternopil region faced massive power outages. On the official page of "PJSC Ternopiloblenergo," it was announced that the region has been operating on an emergency outage schedule since 08:21. This occurred due to massive shelling of Ukraine's energy facilities by Russia.

According to the information provided by the Ternopil Regional Military Administration, as of 8:25, over 280,000 consumers remain without power. In addition, in Ternopil, the facilities of "Ternopilvodokanal" have been halted due to the power outage, leading to a temporary suspension of centralized water supply. "We are connecting facilities to backup power sources. This will take some time," stated the "Ternopilvodokanal" message.

Mass Systemic Problems

Massive attacks on Ukrainian infrastructure continue, forcing regions to impose emergency outage schedules to prevent a collapse of the power system. For example, in the Odesa region, the port infrastructure came under attack, while in the Sumy region, power supply disruptions are already being recorded. It is also worth noting other regions affected by the attacks: in the Lviv region, a critical energy infrastructure facility was damaged.
