In Ternopil and the region, recent Russian attacks have caused serious problems in the energy infrastructure. As a result of the massive shelling of energy facilities, there was an emergency power outage, leading to the disconnection of the centralized water supply in the regional center.
On December 23, 2025, the Ternopil Regional Military Administration reported that due to damage, the facilities of "Ternopilvodokanal" were de-energized. As a result, 280 thousand consumers in the region were left without electricity, and most residents of Ternopil temporarily lost access to clean drinking water. Authorities are working on connecting facilities to backup power sources.
Introduction of Emergency Outages
Since 08:21, a schedule of emergency outages has been introduced in the Ternopil region. This decision was made to stabilize the operation of Ukraine's unified energy system. Despite the difficult situation, local energy companies are doing everything possible to quickly restore the power supply.
In addition to the Ternopil region, other areas are facing similar challenges. In the Lviv region, ten stages of emergency outage schedules have already been introduced as a result of massive attacks on critical infrastructure.
How to Get Current Information
Residents of the Ternopil region can find details about their emergency outage schedules through the official communication channels of regional energy companies on Viber and Telegram. This will ensure access to operational data and help specify actions in emergency situations.
The outage schedule is expected to remain in effect until a separate order from NEK "Ukrenergo." Therefore, local residents need to be attentive and follow the news.
