A new phase in the fight against domestic violence has been launched in Starokostiantyniv. On November 25, the first day of the nationwide campaign "16 Days Against Violence," a meeting of the Coordination Council on Family Issues and Preventing Domestic Violence took place. The event was chaired by the Deputy Mayor Olha Troyan.

The meeting was organized as part of the project "Cities and Communities Free from Domestic Violence," supported by the Government of Canada and the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA). The Starokostiantyniv community has been actively involved in this project since May 2021 and has created an effective response system for cases of domestic violence during this time.

During the meeting, the results of the "Roadmap" implementation were presented, and the key achievements of the community in combating violence were discussed, along with the challenges that still need to be addressed. The participants of the meeting adopted a protocol decision on further improving local mechanisms for cooperation among the entities operating in this field. The main goal of this collaborative work is to strengthen preventative actions and provide ongoing support for victims.

Olha Troyan emphasized the importance of creating a safe environment for all residents of the community: "Starokostiantyniv should be a place where every person feels protected," she stated during the meeting. The results of this initiative may serve as an example for other communities in Ukraine.
