On Sunday, November 23, electricity consumption restrictions will continue in Ukraine, stated the company "Ukrenergo." In most regions of the country, energy providers will implement rolling blackouts, lasting from 00:00 to 23:59.
According to preliminary information, the volume of outages for residential consumers will range from 1 to 2.5 shifts. This indicates that the electricity supply situation is improving, as during the previous days, 1 to 3 shifts of outages were applied. Yesterday, the limit was noted at 2.5 to 4 shifts.
Reasons for restrictions
The main reason for the introduction of new restrictions remains the consequences of massive missile and drone attacks by Russia on Ukraine's energy facilities. Energy providers urge consumers to use electricity sparingly during the hours when supply is permitted by the schedule.
The current blackout schedules can be found on the official pages of regional energy companies on social media. For example, in Dnipropetrovsk, Kyiv, and Odesa regions, hour-by-hour blackout schedules have already been published.
Situation update
It is also worth noting that due to the shelling of the energy system, Ukraine has suspended commercial electricity exports, and all produced resources are currently directed to meet domestic needs. As reported, the "Khmelnytsky" and "Rivne" nuclear power plants have restored their capacities after reductions, and "DTEK" has begun publishing hour-by-hour blackout schedules for various regions.
The situation remains dynamic, so residents are urged to keep up with the news and follow the recommendations of energy providers.
