In Rivne region, energy workers have completely restored electricity supply for 300 thousand consumers who were left without power after the massive Russian attack on December 23. This was reported by the head of Rivne Regional Military Administration Oleksandr Koval.
Consequences of the Russian Attack
On Tuesday morning, the enemy struck an energy facility in Rivne region. As a result of the attack, about 300,000 subscribers were left without power. In addition to energy infrastructure, civilian objects were damaged:
- 2 residential buildings
- 3 utility buildings
- 3 passenger cars
Fortunately, there were no casualties among the population.
Quick Restoration of Energy System
Energy workers operated in intensive mode to restore electricity supply. Critical infrastructure facilities switched to alternative power sources. At 12:17, Oleksandr Koval announced complete restoration of electricity supply in the region.
"Energy workers have completely restored electricity supply in Rivne region after the enemy attack. I thank them for their professionalism and dedication," noted the head of the Regional Military Administration.
Hourly Outage Schedules
Despite the restoration of power, due to the difficult situation in the country's energy system, hourly outage schedules are being implemented in the region. From 12:00 to 16:00, subgroups 1.1, 1.2, 2.1, 2.2 will remain without power. Schedules for other subgroups are still being compiled.
Elimination of Consequences
Representatives of Security and Defense Forces, as well as other services, are working at the scene. Windows in affected homes are planned to be restored during the day. This was the ninth massive attack by Russia on Ukrainian energy infrastructure since the beginning of the year.
