On the night of November 6, 2023, air raid alerts were declared twice across Ukraine due to missile danger. In the first notification at 1:22 AM, the Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported a threat due to the takeoff of a Russian "MiG-31K" aircraft. After a pause, at 2:23, activity was observed again, leading to a repeated alert.
Recent events and threats
As a result of the Air Forces' raids, on the night of December 6, Kyiv was also under the threat of missile attacks. The head of the Kyiv city military administration warned residents to stay in shelters. This occurred in the context of missile attacks with the common "Dagger" missiles and the use of ballistic systems.
Massive attacks on the capital
On November 29, a mass attack took place on Kyiv and other regions of Ukraine, during which over 30 missiles and nearly 600 drones were launched. The attack lasted throughout the night and morning, particularly marked by strikes with ballistic missiles and cruise missiles from various directions. As a result, two individuals were killed and many civilian objects sustained significant damage.
In Kyiv, power outages and disruptions to water supply were also recorded, causing heightened anxiety among the city's residents. Nevertheless, rescue operations, including fire extinguishing, continued for several days.
This situation once again reminds us of the constant threat of missile attacks, which remains on Ukraine's agenda.
