On December 6 in Lviv, a series of events will take place to commemorate the Day of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, aimed at honoring the memory of fallen Ukrainian warriors. On this day, at 11:00 AM, ceremonies will begin in the fields of honor at Lychakiv Cemetery.

Among the planned events is a ceremony at the field of honor No. 76 on Vakhnyanyna Street, where flowers will be laid, candles will be lit, and an ecumenical requiem will be held, as well as a tribute to the Heroes of the Heavenly Hundred at the field of honor No. 67 on Mechnikova Street at 11:40 AM. At 12:00 PM, there will be a tribute to the soldiers of the Russo-Ukrainian War at the field of honor No. 86a.

At 1:00 PM, a joint prayer in honor of this holiday will take place at the Garrison Church of Saints Peter and Paul, which also coincides with the 14th anniversary of the church's restoration. The director of the communications and internal policy department of the Lviv Regional State Administration, Yuriy Horun, noted: “This Saturday, together with all of Ukraine, we celebrate the Day of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. We honor the memory of the defenders who gave their lives in the struggle for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the state.”

Additionally, on this day in Lviv, memorial plaques will be unveiled in honor of the fallen Heroes Vyacheslav Volgin and Oleg Bohush at 12:00 PM on Kolomyiska Street, 18. These warriors distinguished themselves with their courage and heroism in the fight for our country, and their memory will forever remain in the hearts of Ukrainians.
