In December, Ukrainian gas consumers will be able to enter into new contracts with suppliers due to the fact that LLC "Energy Trade Group" will cease providing services to residential consumers. Company clients can choose from one of eight available suppliers, including "Naftogaz of Ukraine," marking the beginning of a new era of tariffs.

Gas tariffs for the population will remain stable within the framework of annual contracts, which range from 7.96 to 9.99 UAH per cubic meter. The annual tariff from "Naftogaz of Ukraine" is 7.96 UAH. This tariff will be valid until April 2026, which is an important element of stability for consumers.

At the meeting of the National Commission for State Regulation of Energy and Public Utilities (NERC) on December 2, a discussion of new gas distribution tariffs is planned, which could increase by 76% by 2026 for gas distribution network operators. This step will not affect tariffs for the population, as there is currently a moratorium on price increases during wartime and for six months after it ends.

This information is reported by the consulting company ExPro, emphasizing that certain regions of Ukraine may feel the changes associated with a reduction in ordered distribution capacity, particularly in combat zones. The increase in tariffs is planned to be phased in: on January 1 and April 1, 2026.

It is also important to note that new electricity tariffs will remain unchanged for residential consumers starting December 1, 2025, which is yet another argument for stability in the energy sector.

The situation with gas and energy resources in Ukraine is extremely important, so consumers must be aware of innovations and changes in the market.
