On the front in one day, 227 clashes occurred, the hottest areas - Pokrovsk and Kostiantynivka

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine provided this information on Facebook, giving operational information as of 08:00 on July 28, as reported by Ukrinform.

During yesterday, the enemy carried out one rocket attack using two missiles, conducted 83 airstrikes, dropping 269 guided bombs. In addition, the enemy activated 10,600 kamikaze drones and conducted 3,240 shellings of populated areas and positions of Ukrainian troops, including 37 from multiple rocket launch systems.

Over the past day, missile troops and artillery of the Defense Forces struck six drone control points, 10 areas of enemy troop concentrations, and one command post of the Russian invaders.

In the Northern Slobozhansky and Kursk directions, there were seven clashes yesterday, while the enemy conducted 77 shellings of positions of Ukrainian troops and populated areas, including two from multiple rocket launch systems.

In the Southern Slobozhansky direction, the enemy attacked the positions of Ukrainian units near the settlements of Kozacha Lopan, Petro-Ivanivka, Izbytske, Anyshkyne, Ivashkyne, Syminivka, and in the area of Vovchansk ten times.

In the Kupiansk direction, the enemy carried out six attacks on Bohuslavka, Kupiansk, Petropavlivka, and the area of Zapadne.

In the Lyman direction, the enemy attempted to break through Ukrainian defenses 16 times, attacking Drobysheve, Ozerne, Stavky, Lyman, and in the area of Novoselivka and Novomykhailivka.

In the Sloviansk direction, the enemy conducted 19 assault attacks in the areas of the settlements of Kryva Luka, Zakittne, Riznykivka, as well as in the direction of Rai-Oleksandrivka and Piskunivka.

In the Kramatorsk direction, Russian occupiers carried out four attacks in the direction of Malynivka and in the area of Pryvillia.

In the Kostiantynivka direction, the enemy carried out 27 attacks on the territories of Kostiantynivka, Illinivka, Ivanopillia, Sofiivka, and toward Dovha Balka, Stepanky, Toretskyi, Vilnyi, and Novo-Shakhovyi.

In the Pokrovsk direction, Ukrainian defenders successfully stopped 34 enemy assault attacks in the areas of Kotlyn, Udachne, Novomykolaivka, Molodetske, as well as in the directions of Bilytske, Shevchenka, Novo-Donbas, and Serhiyivka.

In the Oleksandrivka direction, the enemy carried out two attacks toward Oleksandrhrad and in the area of Solodke.

In the Huliaipole direction, the invaders made 11 attacks in the settlements of Vozdvizhivka, Kosivtseve, Staro Ukrainian, Tsvitkove, Luhivske, and Charivne.

In the Orikhiv direction, Ukrainian defenders managed to stop one attempt by the enemy to advance toward Prymorske.

In the Dnipropetrovsk direction, over the past day, the enemy did not conduct offensive actions.

In the Volyn and Polissia directions, no signs of enemy offensive group formations were recorded.

As reported by Ukrinform, the total combat losses of Russian military personnel from February 24, 2022, to July 28, 2026, amounted to approximately 1,442,140 individuals, of which 1,560 were eliminated in the past day.
