On July 24, 2026, Colonel Valentyna Savitska, Deputy Head of the Center for International Cooperation and Strategic Communications of the State Protection Department of Ukraine (UDO), was killed in a Russian missile strike on the Kyiv region.
Throughout her many years of service, she faithfully fulfilled her military duty, dedicating herself to protecting Ukraine and strengthening the country's security.
Colonel Savitska was widely respected for her professionalism, integrity, and unwavering commitment to her work. Her contribution to the development of the State Protection Department was significant. Thanks to her efforts, the agency expanded its international cooperation, strengthened partnerships with foreign counterparts, and enhanced its strategic communications.
Her death is a profound loss for the State Protection Department, her colleagues, friends, and everyone who had the privilege of working with her.
The Russian missile attack claimed the life of an officer who devoted many years to serving the Ukrainian people and the state.
