Operation "Crimean Power Switch Off" Continues as Ukraine Targets Russian-Controlled Energy Infrastructure

Ukraine's Unmanned Systems Forces (USF) have continued their "Crimean Power Switch Off" operation, striking 19 electrical substations across Russian-occupied territories within just 48 hours. Most of the targeted facilities were located in occupied Crimea.

The results of the operation were announced by Colonel Robert "Madyar" Brovdi, Commander of Ukraine's Unmanned Systems Forces.

According to Brovdi, 17 substations were hit in occupied Crimea, while two additional power facilities were struck in the Russian-occupied part of Ukraine's Donetsk region.

"Nineteen power hubs were eliminated within 48 hours, on July 23–24: seventeen in Crimea and two in other temporarily occupied territories," Brovdi said.

136 Energy Facilities Hit in July

Brovdi added that between July 1 and July 24, Ukrainian drone units damaged or destroyed 136 energy infrastructure facilities as part of the ongoing campaign.

The operation is aimed at disrupting the infrastructure that supports Russian military logistics and occupation forces.

Substations Targeted Across Occupied Crimea

Among the facilities reportedly struck were electrical substations serving the areas of:

  • Yalta;
  • Feodosia;
  • Gurzuf;
  • Yevpatoria;
  • Sudak;
  • Koktebel;
  • Gaspra;
  • Skvortsove;
  • Vesele;
  • Malorechenske;
  • Prymorskyi;
  • and several other settlements across occupied Crimea.

In addition, Ukrainian drones targeted substations in the occupied settlements of Kremenivka and Druzhba in the Donetsk region.

Pressure on Russian Military Infrastructure

The "Crimean Power Switch Off" campaign focuses on degrading the energy infrastructure that supplies Russian military facilities and logistical networks in occupied Ukrainian territories.

According to Ukraine's Unmanned Systems Forces, precision drone strikes against critical power infrastructure are intended to complicate Russian military operations and reduce the effectiveness of occupation forces.

Ukraine continues to expand its long-range drone campaign, targeting strategic infrastructure deep behind Russian lines as part of its broader effort to weaken Russia's military capabilities in occupied territories.
