Today, the restoration of electricity supply is ongoing in Kyiv, Odesa, and Dnipro after a mass missile strike last night. The Minister of Energy of Ukraine, "Denys Shmyhal", stated at the Staff meeting that the situation remains complicated. In many regions, people receive electricity only for 3-4 hours, and this is after 7-8 hours without it.

In Kyiv, 62 brigades are actively working on restoring the electricity supply. As Denys Shmyhal noted, next week strong frosts are expected to return to Ukraine, making the repair work even more urgent. "We are starting preparations for the next heating season," he added.

Additionally, according to the Ministry of Energy, over the past day more than 13 tons of energy equipment, which came from international partners, was unloaded from hubs. This includes generators, transformers, and hydraulic units. Furthermore, Ukraine received humanitarian assistance from Moldova, and Kyiv received three generators and a mobile boiler from Denmark.

Independent Heat Generation in Kyiv

Separately, a project is being launched in the Desnyanskyi district of Kyiv to create independent heat and electricity generation by October 1. The head of the Desnyanskyi District Administration, "Maksym Bakhmatov", announced the start of a hackathon to implement this plan, which is expected to provide 100 MW of electricity and 300 MW of heat.

Despite the efforts, the district is once again deprived of heating due to the shutdown of "CHP 6," which has caused outrage among residents. Last Sunday, "Denys Shmyhal" announced that the heat supply had been restored, but already today disconnections have occurred again. The First Deputy Prime Minister assured that the restoration of heat for the affected apartment buildings is scheduled for the coming days.

These events confirm the critical nature of the situation in Ukraine's energy sector amid the ongoing war.
