Today, February 11, 2026, a hospital in Zaporizhzhia was damaged as a result of an attack by Russian troops using unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky confirmed the information about the strike and drew attention to the increasing danger for civilian facilities.
According to the State Emergency Service of Ukraine (SES), five people were injured in the Russian strike on the Zaporizhzhia region. “The enemy shows no regard for human life, and each such attack will undermine trust in diplomatic efforts to end the war definitively,” Zelensky stated.
Tragic consequences of the attacks
The President also highlighted other incidents, particularly a drone attack in the private sector in Kharkiv, where three children and their father were killed. “These murders indicate that Russian military activity poses a serious threat to Ukrainian families,” he added.
It is known that during the night in Sumy region, six people, including children, were injured due to drone attacks. “One person, unfortunately, died. And this is all while the Russian army continues its aggressive actions,” the president emphasized.
A challenge for the international community
President Zelensky emphasized that security for Ukraine must become a priority for the international community. “As long as the pressure on the aggressor is insufficient, the lives of Ukrainians are at risk,” he stressed, calling for increased support and the provision of effective air defense systems to Ukraine.
Let us remind you that the attack on the hospital in Zaporizhzhia is just one example of Russian attacks on civilian facilities. In a bid to save the lives of Ukrainians, the Ukrainian government continues to call for international support and actions to strengthen the country's defense capabilities.
