The demand for mobilization in Ukraine is becoming increasingly relevant, especially after the recent statements by people's deputy Ruslan Horbenko. He emphasized that "busification," or forced relocation of young men, will remain one of the tools for replenishing mobilization resources in the country.

According to Horbenko, the issue of mobilization has become critically toxic due to a series of government mistakes. The expert noted that Ukraine currently has enough mobilization resources for only a year and a half, unless urgent measures are taken to change the existing system.

"Why has the president still not paid attention to this problem? This is a separate topic, as mobilization is a complex and unpopular issue that causes growing public tension," Horbenko stressed.

Mobilization Problems and Their Consequences

The politician also pointed out specific solutions that should be considered mistakes, including the legislative definition of the right to travel abroad for young men aged 18-22. "I'm interested in who discussed this with the military? Did anyone even care? This regulation really caused huge dissatisfaction among the military," he added.

Horbenko noted that it is necessary to bring order to the Armed Forces of Ukraine and clearly outline the paths that initiatives to change mobilization practices should take. "Responsibility must start from the Supreme Commander-in-Chief and then proceed to the General Staff," the deputy believes.

Possible Legislative Changes

The government plans to amend existing legislation, under which young people will have to serve in the rear before traveling abroad. This idea is already being discussed within the walls of the Verkhovna Rada, although an official bill has not yet been developed.

"We are considering the possibility that these guys can serve in new types of troops, for example, in the field of drones. This will not only reduce the burden on the army but also give them a chance to gain valuable experience," Horbenko noted.

The deputy also emphasized that the current legislation in this area contradicts the Constitution, as it highlights ambiguity in the age limits for mobilization and travel abroad. He called for reforming this aspect to ensure clarity and fairness in mobilization processes.

Thus, raising the issue of "busification" and revising legislative norms regarding mobilization can significantly impact the country's defense capability.
