Weather Forecasters Warned About Extreme Cold
Ukraine will be hit by a powerful wave of Arctic cold with temperatures up to -28°C in the coming days. According to meteorologists, the coldest days will be from February 1-2.
Temperature Indicators by Regions
Central and northern regions expect the most severe frosts. In particular, in Kyiv, the temperature at night may drop to -20-22°C, during the day – to -14-16°C.
The Ukrainian Meteorological Service "Ukrhydrometeocenter" warns that the coldest regions will be:
- Rivne Oblast
- Zhytomyr Oblast
- Kyiv Oblast
- Chernihiv Oblast
- Sumy Oblast
- Poltava Oblast
- Kharkiv Oblast
In these regions, temperatures may reach critical levels of -27-30°C.
Warming Forecast
A gradual warming is expected to begin from February 4-5, first in the western and southwestern parts of the country.
