In the evening of January 8, Russian occupiers launched a missile strike on multi-apartment buildings in Kryvyi Rih, resulting in five residents being injured, including a child.

City Defense Council Head Oleksandr Vilkul reported that Russian troops fired two ballistic "Iskanders" at residential areas of the city. "These complete bastards hit multi-apartment buildings with two ballistic Iskanders," he stated.

According to the Acting Head of Dnipropetrovsk Regional State Administration Vladyslav Haivanenko, the attack resulted in:

  • Five injured, including a child
  • A 57-year-old man in critical condition
  • Damaged windows and balconies in several multi-story buildings
  • Destroyed city infrastructure

The municipal enterprise "Kryvbassvodokanal" also reported water supply problems after the Russian attack.

Recall that on the previous day, January 7, the Russian army had already extensively attacked Kryvyi Rih, resulting in eight people being wounded.
