The state company "Ukrzaliznytsia" has announced changes to its train schedules for 2025-2026, which will take effect on December 14. In particular, the carrier will launch 11 new trains and increase the number of seats by 20% during peak periods, offering a total of 2 million additional seats throughout the year.
New Train Routes
Among the key updates in domestic connections is the launch of the new train No. 47/48 (Kramatorsk) Barvinkove - Chop, which will benefit residents of the front-line Donetsk region. Designed to provide multimodal connections with the rest of Ukraine, this route will stop in Barvinkove in the Kharkiv region.
Additionally, there will be a new train No. 33/34 that connects Kryvyi Rih and Ivano-Frankivsk, and the route of train No. 113/114 Kharkiv - Uzhhorod will be updated, continuing the historical "Bakhmut" route to Transcarpathia.
Ticket Sales Update
Tickets for the new routes are already available for purchase in the "Ukrzaliznytsia" app and on the website for dates after December 14. This allows passengers to plan their trips according to the new schedule.
Transport Statistics
It is noteworthy that "Ukrzaliznytsia" has already transported over 25 million passengers this year, which is almost half a million more than during the same period last year.
We remind that Prime Minister Yuliya Svyrydenko also announced the simplification of border and customs controls for international trains, particularly on the "Kyiv - Przemyśl" and "Kyiv - Chełm" routes, which will further enhance railway connectivity.
We hope that these changes will not only facilitate the mobility of Ukrainians but also respond effectively to the needs of passengers.
