Resonant Searches in the Verkhovna Rada Committees

The National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) conducted a large-scale special operation, as a result of which an organized criminal group was exposed, which included current Ukrainian people's deputies.

Operation Details

According to the investigation, the group members systematically received illegal benefits for voting in the Verkhovna Rada. During the investigative actions, NABU detectives encountered resistance from the State Guard Service (UGO).

Course of Events

  • NABU detectives tried to enter the committee rooms of the Rada
  • UGO employees hindered entry to the government quarter
  • After checking identities, all participants were admitted to the territory

NABU emphasized that obstructing investigative actions is a direct violation of the law. Regarding people's deputy Yurii Koriavchenko, known as "Yuzyk" from "Kvartal", information about searches was refuted.

Authorities' Commentary

NABU Director Semen Kryvonos previously stated that the investigation of the Midas case on energy sector corruption would expand, and new suspicions would emerge.
