Meteorologists Warn of Arctic Attack: Kyiv and Region to Be Covered by Severe Frost to -20°C

Ukrainian city residents are expecting an extremely cold week with temperature records and intense Arctic invasions. According to the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center, the situation will be most critical in Kyiv and the Kyiv region.

Temperature Conditions: What Meteorologists Promise

Over the next few days, the temperature in the capital will drop to critically low levels:

• Nighttime temperatures expected to reach -17...-19°C
• Daytime temperatures will not rise above -13...-15°C

Regional Forecast

Ukraine will be hit by a powerful cold wave. The lowest temperatures are forecast for the northern part of the country - up to -20°C at night and -15°C during the day.

Rescuers' Warnings

Due to extreme frosts, there may be increased load on the power system. Specialists urge citizens to be careful when using electric heaters and stove heating.

Meteorologist Natalka Didenko reported that warming is expected from January 15-16, when temperatures will slightly rise and ease the frost grip.
