Tonight, November 25, 2025, the capital of Ukraine once again fell victim to a massive missile strike by the Russian Federation. As a result of the attack, preliminary reports indicate that two people have died, and numerous injuries and destruction in apartment buildings have been recorded.
Situation in Kyiv and the Surrounding Area
According to information from the State Emergency Service (SES), due to the initial strikes in the Dnipro district, missiles hit a nine-story residential building, resulting in the deaths of two individuals and injuries to five others. Rescuers reported that 17 people were saved, including three children.
After the first wave of attacks, around 7 a.m., Russia repeated the missile bombardment of Kyiv, using both cruise missiles and aerial ballistic "Kinzhal" missiles. As a result, hits on several residential buildings were recorded again, leading to new casualties and destruction.
Damage to Infrastructure
In the Pechersk district, significant destruction is visible on the fourth to sixth floors of a twenty-story residential building. Fire has been localized; however, power and water supply disruptions have been noted in several districts of the capital.
Comments from Government Officials
The mayor of Kyiv, Vitaliy Klitschko, noted that attacks on the capital have become routine and emphasized that Russia is using a combination of both missiles and drones to target civilian infrastructure.
Consequences for the Civilian Population
According to the latest reports, not only buildings have been damaged in various districts of Kyiv and the region: it has been confirmed that a 14-year-old girl may have died in Bіла Церква, where 46 people have also been evacuated from a damaged building.
The entire country continues to suffer from ongoing Russian attacks, where the civilian population has been and continues to be impacted.
