"Franko Theater" in Kyiv marked the conclusion of the performance "Peer Gynt" with a charity event, gathering 2 million hryvnias to support the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The initiative was supported with funds from ticket sales and an auction that took place at the final show on December 14.

The production, directed by Ivan Urivskyi and inspired by Henrik Ibsen's 1867 dramatic poem, made its debut on the flagship theater's stage in April 2021. The project is dedicated to the memory of notable Ukrainian theater figures—director Serhiy Danchenko and actor Bohdan Stupka, both of whom dreamed of bringing this work to the theater stage.

The final performance of the play was unique due to the simultaneous participation of both casts involved in different years. The guests were able to see renowned Ukrainian actors on stage, including Nataliya Sumska, Ostap Stupka, Olena Khokhlatkina, Oleksandr Formanchuk, among others.

The collected funds will go towards the "Dronepad" project, designed to strengthen the defense of the Ukrainian sky against enemy drones. This money will be used for purchasing interceptor aircraft for the needs of the 10th Mountain Assault Brigade "Edelweiss."

The General Director of "Franko Theater" noted: "Peer Gynt bids farewell, but art continues to work for Victory." This comprehensive artistic evening once again emphasized the importance of cultural initiatives in wartime conditions and demonstrated the power of uniting artists and audiences around a common goal.
