Emergency power outages have been implemented in Kyiv and several regions of Ukraine due to continuous attacks by Russia on the energy infrastructure. Today, November 25, the company "DTEK Kyiv Electric Networks" announced that the hourly outage schedules are no longer in effect.
This is related to the consequences of mass missile strikes that occurred overnight and in the morning. The Mayor of Kyiv, Vitali Klitschko, reported that the attack resulted in 14 injured individuals and damages to energy system components.
Details of the Outages
Emergency outages are being implemented in the Left Bank part of the capital, while emergency outages are being introduced in Kyiv region, as stated by "Poltavaoblenergo" and "Sumyoblenergo." According to "Ukrenergo," hourly and emergency outage schedules are also in effect in the Sumy region.
The company "DTEK" emphasized that in emergency situations, it is impossible to notify consumers about the duration of outages, and outages may occur without prior warning.
Heating Supply Situation
In addition to power outages, there are issues with heating supply in Kyiv. Limitations on heating supply affect the Pechersk and Holosiivskyi districts, as well as parts of buildings in the Shevchenkivskyi, Solomianskyi, Sviatoshynskyi, Darnytskyi, and Dniprovskii districts. Local authorities assure that heat supply will be restored as soon as possible.
In this context, the Ministry of Energy reports that maintaining the energy system remains critically important, considering the ongoing attacks from the enemy. Energy workers are working on restoring electric supply; however, given the lack of stability, the situation leaves much to be desired.
Conclusion
Thus, Kyiv and its outskirts are facing serious difficulties in providing electricity and heat. Authorities urge the public to be prepared for unforeseen situations and to coordinate their actions in case of power outages.
