The National Bank of Ukraine today, November 26, set the official exchange rate of the dollar to the hryvnia at 42.40 UAH per $1. This is a new historical maximum, as the hryvnia is again showing a decline, dropping by 3 kopecks compared to the previous day.
According to information on the NBU website, the dollar can be bought at banks for an average rate of 42.20 UAH and sold for 42.63 UAH.
Situation on the foreign exchange market
The euro rate is also rising, reaching 48.94 UAH for 1 euro (+3 kopecks compared to yesterday). In exchange offices, the dollar costs on average 42.35 UAH when sold, while the euro is priced at 49.30 UAH.
Financial analyst Andriy Shevchishin notes that the dollar's value could rise to 44-45 UAH by the end of the year due to the absence of international financial aid and increasing demand for foreign currency against the backdrop of rising imports.
Forecasts for the exchange rate
According to banker Taras Yesovyi, a decrease in interest in currency transactions is expected in the coming days due to the shopping season. It is predicted that the dollar exchange rate will remain high until the end of November.
Thus, residents of Ukraine are facing a new challenge in the context of economic uncertainty. The situation in the foreign exchange market requires serious attention and caution from the population when carrying out currency transactions.
