On Thursday, December 25, hourly power outage schedules and capacity restrictions for industrial consumers will be in effect in all regions of Ukraine. This was announced by NEC "Ukrenergo".

The reason for implementing restrictions was the consequences of Russian missile and drone attacks on Ukraine's energy facilities. On the night of December 24, the Russian army once again attacked Ukraine's energy system, partially leaving consumers in five regions without electricity.

Most affected regions

On the morning of December 24, new power outages were recorded in Sumy, Dnipropetrovsk, Kherson, Kharkiv, and Chernihiv regions. The attack led to a significant voltage drop in Kharkiv, which affected heating and transport operations. The city was forced to switch to "energy island" mode to reduce negative consequences for the energy system.

Outage schedules by regions

Kyiv and Kyiv region

DTEK published detailed schedules for the capital region. In Kyiv tomorrow, power will be cut off in all queues from two to three times per day. In Kyiv region, electricity will be disconnected from two to four times depending on the queue during the day.

The longest outages will be for queues 3.1 and 3.2 — from 03:30 to 07:00 and from 14:00 to 20:00-21:00. Consumers in queue 4.1 will be least affected — only three short periods without power.

Dnipropetrovsk region

In Dnipropetrovsk region, power will be cut off from two to four times depending on the queue. Detailed schedules are published on DTEK's official channels.

Ternopil region

"Ternopiloblenergo" warned that the schedule may change throughout the day, therefore urges to monitor updates on the company's official website in the section "Hourly power outage schedule".

Important recommendations

NEC "Ukrenergo" emphasized that the situation in the energy system may change throughout the day. The company advises to check the exact time and scope of outages on the official pages of regional energy companies in the respective region.

Under conditions of increased risks to energy infrastructure, it is critically important to be prepared for planned, emergency, or long-term power outages, especially during the cold period.

All consumers are advised to prepare alternative power sources in advance, stock up on food and drinking water, and monitor schedule updates in their region.
