The Main Intelligence Directorate of Ukraine conducted a unique special operation, refuting previously spread information about the death of Russian Volunteer Corps commander Denis Kapustin.

On January 1st, GUR head Kyrylo Budanov released a video that completely changed the narrative around the RDC commander. According to intelligence officers, reports of Kapustin's death were part of a complex special operation.
Operation Details
According to GUR, Russian special services allocated $500,000 for Kapustin's elimination. Instead, Ukrainian intelligence not only saved the commander's life but also received the funds, which will go towards strengthening units.
Personalities
Denis Kapustin is a former resident of Germany, a nationalist, organizer of sports tournaments, who created the Russian Volunteer Corps. In Russia, he has been sentenced in absentia to life imprisonment for treason.
Budanov personally congratulated Kapustin, stating: "I'm glad that the funds received for your elimination will go to our struggle".
Kapustin's Reaction
The commander himself confirmed that he is ready to continue carrying out combat missions, stating: "Ready to go to the area of execution and continue commanding the RDC unit".
