Kyiv Mayor Vitaliy Klitschko participated in the award ceremony for community organizations that successfully implemented beneficial initiatives for the capital's community. This event took place as part of the "TOP-100" awards, which have highlighted the best volunteer projects in Kyiv for the sixth consecutive year.
The "TOP-100" award emphasizes the importance of civil society in the life of the capital. Vitaliy Klitschko stressed that it is precisely thanks to the active and caring residents that Kyiv has been able to withstand difficult times. "Civil society is a great force. We are building a city where the authorities and the community act together as a single mechanism," Klitschko noted.
This year, over 450 community organizations participated in the competition, operating in the areas of security, ecology, social protection, volunteering, and urban space development. Representatives of the competition committee, which included specialists from the Kyiv City Council, Kyiv City State Administration, and the Public Council under the Kyiv City State Administration, determined the winners.
Klitschko also emphasized that investing in partnership with the public is an investment in democracy and resilience. "The stronger the community, the less chance the enemy has to break us. You provide humanity, energy, and valuable initiatives to the city," the mayor added.
The competition featured a variety of initiatives, from supporting defense capabilities to volunteer activities and the development of veteran policies.
