Results of the Ukrainian Team at the World Cup Stage
At the sixth stage of the Biathlon World Cup in the Czech city of Novo Mesto, the Ukrainian team demonstrated a confident race in the single mixed relay, securing the final fifth place.
Olena Horodna started the relay, showing the best shooting speed among the participants. In the first stage, she used one additional cartridge on two shooting ranges. Vitalii Mandzyन, after a "clean" prone shooting and two additional cartridges in the standing position, passed the relay in second place.
On the third stage, Horodna did not enter penalty loops but used four additional cartridges. At the finish, Mandzyन showed the sixth result, but after the disqualification of the German team, Ukraine moved up one position.
Upcoming Competitions
The next start of the Biathlon World Cup stage will take place in Kontiolahti (Finland) from March 5-8. Athletes are also preparing for the XXV Winter Olympic Games, which will be held from February 6 to 22 in Italy.
