Today in Kyiv, the situation continues regarding the massive attack by Russian troops. As a result of shelling, numerous destructions and casualties have been reported in the city. The Mayor of Kyiv, Vitali Klitschko, stated that one man has died as a result of enemy rocket strikes, and 13 people, including a 10-year-old child, have been injured.
According to Klitschko, significant destruction occurred in the Holosiivskyi, Solomianskyi, Shevchenkivskyi, and Darnytskyi districts. In particular, several calls for medical assistance have been recorded, as debris from rockets fell on residential buildings, leading to fires.
“Currently, the western part of the capital has been left without electricity. Energy workers are working on restoring the supply,” Klitschko noted while commenting on the situation with power outages.
Injured due to the attack
According to information from the Kyiv Military Administration, the number of casualties has gradually risen to 13 people. “Among the injured are six who have been hospitalized, including a 13-year-old child,” Klitschko stated. Rescuers and medical staff are working at the strike locations, providing assistance to those affected.
Consequences of the attack
As a result of debris falling, fires have occurred in several districts, particularly on the 6th, 4-5, and 1-3 floors of high-rise buildings. The overall situation in the city remains tense. Emergency services are limited in their capabilities as the complexity of rescue operations is compounded by falling debris onto residential and non-residential properties.
The city is urging residents to stay in safe places and not to go outside during air raid alerts. Police and emergency services continue to work on eliminating the consequences of enemy attacks, ensuring the safety of citizens.
