21-year-old model and "Miss Ukraine-2023" Sophia Shamiya spoke in the "Eyes to Eyes" program about the real reasons behind the $5,000 fine imposed by STB TV channel after her participation in the "Bachelor-14" show.
According to Shamiya, the fine was not due to an official formality, but her principled position. "Because I simply didn't do what they wanted. Because I decided to leave. Because I didn't create even more of a show," the model stated.
Conflict Details
TV channel representatives explained the fine by claiming she allegedly didn't say goodbye to the project's main hero — actor Taras Tsymbalyuk. However, another participant from the 13th season, Marichka Dovbenko, confirmed that such a mandatory clause does not exist in the contract.
Sophia noted that the contract is structured so that a participant is forced to pay a fine or expect even larger financial sanctions. "None of the participants are warned several days in advance. If you decide to leave — you will leave," she explained.
Additional Circumstances
Recall that Shamiya left the show in the third episode after a conflict with other participants. In particular, cosmetologist Oksana Shanyuk accused the model of having an affair with a married man, which Sophia categorically denied and even filed a lawsuit for defamation.
After Taras Tsymbalyuk's scandalous interview, where the actor admitted he didn't feel any emotions towards any participant, Sophia demanded that STB return her paid $5,000.
