On Thursday, December 4th, electricity supply in Ukraine will continue to be cut off according to the schedules announced by "Ukrenergo." As a result of massive shelling of energy facilities, consumers across the country will face planned outages.

Power outage schedules

According to information released by "Ukrenergo," during the day, between 0.5 to 3 blocks for household consumers can be switched off simultaneously. The outages will last from 00:00 to 23:59, and the volumes and duration of restrictions may change throughout the day.

Difficulties in electricity transmission

The Deputy Minister of Energy of Ukraine, Mykola Kolisnyk, pointed out the main difficulties related to Russia's shelling. The main issues pertain to the transmission of electricity between regions. According to him, currently nine nuclear power units are operational, and a capacity of 2.1 GW is available for electricity import.

Action plan in the West

In western Ukraine, up to two blocks of outages are applied during peak hours, while in the south and the center of the country, up to three blocks are applied. This is due to the recent massive shelling, which has particularly affected the operation of the central energy system.

All Ukrainians have been urged to conserve electricity, especially after its supply is restored. The situation in the energy system remains complicated, so it is necessary to adhere to the recommendations of energy specialists.
