The situation with the energy system in Ukraine remains extremely complex. The executive director of NEC "Ukrenergo," Vitaliy Zaichenko, reported that in most regions of the country, including Dnipro, prolonged electricity outages are ongoing, lasting up to 16 hours a day. According to him, restoring electricity supply after the massive shelling that occurred on December 6 may take not just one day, but several weeks.

Zaichenko noted that the situation is especially severe in frontline regions. Here, emergency outages are actively implemented, while in other regions, including Dnipro, scheduled outages are in effect. While previously outages were forecasted to last a maximum of 8 hours, they are now extended to 16 hours due to new significant strikes on energy facilities.

Appeal to Consumers

Vitaliy Zaichenko urged the public to reduce electricity consumption by keeping only the most essential electrical appliances on, especially at night or on sunny days when the load on the energy system decreases.

Additionally, experts from "Ukrenergo" stressed that one should not expect the extension of outage schedules on cold days. Although temperatures can increase consumption, and the load also rises, the situation under the schedules will remain stable.

In Dnipro and other cities of Ukraine, scheduled electricity outages are likely to continue over the weekend, and residents will be advised to adhere to the schedules.
